Phew! After our shopping spree last weekend, I'll be picking up some extra shifts.

Hugh's in Brisbane for a couple of days, work training. We can hope that all this training and possible new permanent positions opening up next February will be good news for us.

In other news, saw my ophthalmologist on Thursday and he says I'm fine. No better and no worse, which is what he wants. If my eyes were getting better on their own, that means he has to wait longer to do the operation, see where nature takes...

Would people just stop staring at me?! Ok, my right lens is covered, but, damn, when people stare, it makes me feel like a freak. I don't mean the random glance that we all do, it's full-on staring. Even Hugh has noticed it, and he'll stare back at people until they finally get it.

Well, part of the drama from last week has solved itself. The nurse who walked out of work has put in her retirement effectively immediately. But, management has yet to do their part on some things. I guess I'll just have to wait and see how it all plays out.
