I was talking to my oldest sister earlier today and she was telling me about how she might have Celiac Disease. She doesn't know for sure yet, she's still getting tested but she told me that if the tests do come back positive and she indeed does have it, it means that not only would her kids have to be tested, but myself, my brother, my other sister, my mom, my dad, and probably my brother and other sister's kids would have to be checked out too. These tests don't sound too fun to me. I'd have to get a blood test (I'm not too apprehensive about a blood test, but she told me that she had to get seven vials taken and when I had my blood taken the last time I needed one, they took four or five vials, a couple being pretty big and after they were done Meghan, who was with me, said I turned gray and I got pretty damn lightheaded and had to put my head between my knees. I think the reason that happened though was because for one of the blood tests, I couldn't eat or drink anything other than water all day before the test) and they would also have to biopsy my lower intestine. Fun, fun.... I would be knocked out for the biopsy, as they would have to send a scope down my throat to get the piece. I really hope that she doesn't have it, first and foremost, for her health, and second, I really dont' feel like having to go through all that crap. UGH....
