Half the time pabook is inaccessible for me (it takes me to a login or register screen and both loop back to the same page) and there seems to be a rather large number of visitors on all the time. Is this normal?

I don't know what's up. For about 24 hours I was getting a message that the server was too busy. I emailed Pab about it.

I've been getting the same thing as Snadman fairly often, actually. Quite weird.

Same here, except the 'caring enough to do anything about it' part. :)

All your Internets are belong to terrorists.

Bomb Iraq some more and reliability will gradually return.

Pab fixed the problem. Apparently the trackbacks for the blog comments were killing the server.

Huzzah! Pab is OK then? I was more concerned about him than the forums going down once in a while.

He's pretty happy laying low and doing the "under the hood" work for the forums when needed. I'm thinking of starting a rumor that he's got a "long fingernails and tissue boxes on the feet" thing going on these days, because the best lies are the ones that sound true. ;)

He's an achievement point whore

Play a game not until you grow tired of it but when you milk it for all it's 1,000 achievement points :shifty:

I am aware that the server is not running brilliantly these days. It's kinda limping along at the moment and I'm not doing anything about it as I have developed an irrational fear of Linux terminals. There probably won't be a major improvement until we switch hosting, but that's a subject for another topic. :)

I SWEAR Burns was talking with Mr.Smithers for this part of the episode.
